Amanda Smith

Tonight we had Amanda Smith over and we drank white wine and talked about art, boys, white trash and scumbags. She's an incredible and ambitious lady and an amazingly talented photographer. We love love love her. Check out the amazing photo shoot we did last week!

Amulets

An amulet, similar to a talisman, is any object intended to bring good luck or protection to its owner. Potential amulets include gems, especially engraved gems, statues, coins, drawings, pendants, rings, plants and animals; even words said in certain occasions—for example: vade retro satana—(Latin, "go back, Satan"), to repel evil or bad luck.

Sarah Baker

I had the privilege of sitting down with stylist Sarah Baker to talk to her about her most recent projects. Currently, she is trying to find the middle ground between breaking into commercial styling and continuing to pursure more natural and intuitive forms of styling. She is a super inspiring lady, and I'm so glad we got to meet up today!
In the past we have collaborated on a couple of projects, one where I modeled for her and photographer Amanda Smith in a Kate Bush-inspired shoot, and another project involving artists rendering their work using body paint.

My Amazing Mother

Here she is making a unique garment on my cousin Annie, hehe.

My mother, Tammy, is the sole costume designer for the San Diego Youth Ballet and the newest designer for the San Diego Junior Theater. She used to make all of me and my sibling's clothes when we were younger. At Christmas we all wore lederhosen, and on Halloween we would have the raddest costumes. I think she is under-appreciated for all the incredible work that she does! Not only is she a talented seamstress, she is an artist, hairdresser, and mother of 7 children. Not to mention my sisters, who are star dancers in many of the productions she designs for. Love love love
